Twa Fason Egzamen an Fini
The Three Ways the Exam Ends
⏱️ Ekran an vin nwa.
⏱️ The screen goes dark. Was it good news, bad news, or did you just run out of time? There are exactly three ways the NCLEX ends, and knowing them stops the spiral before it starts.
💡 Ide prensipal
Reponn omwen kantite minimòm kesyon yo anvan tan an fini.
Answer at least the minimum number of items before time runs out. After that, only your final ability estimate matters.
Rule one, the 95% CONFIDENCE RULE: once you have answered the minimum number of items, the exam stops as soon as the computer is 95% sure you are clearly above or clearly below the passing standard. This is how most exams end. Rule two, the MAXIMUM-LENGTH rule: if your ability stays close to the line, you keep going to 150 items, and the final ability estimate decides. Rule three, the RUN-OUT-OF-TIME rule: if time expires before you reach the minimum number of items, you fail. If you have passed the minimum, your final estimate decides.
🏥 Nan lavi reyèl
🐢 Yon kandida pase kat minit ap soufri sou chak kesyon, li frape mi senk èdtan an nan kesyon 70, epi li echwe sou règ tan ki fini an malgre li konnen matyè a.
🐢 A candidate spends four minutes agonizing over each item, hits the five-hour wall at question 70, and fails on the run-out-of-time rule despite knowing the material. Pace yourself: at 150 items you need to average about two minutes per question with breaks included. Mark a mental pace check every 25 questions.
📌 Sa pou retni
- Konfyans 95% kanpe pifò egzamen, bonè oswa ta, pase oswa echwe95% confidence stops most exams, early or late, pass or fail
- Toupre limit la, ou ale jiska 150 epi estimasyon final la desideNear the line, you go to 150 and the final estimate decides
- Fini tan anvan minimòm lan se yon echèk otomatik, kidonk kontwole ritm ouRunning out of time before the minimum is an automatic fail, so pace yourself
📖 Tèm nan leson sa a
Nòm pou pase (Passing standard): Nivo kapasite NCSBN fikse a ke yo dwe demontre yon kandida depase li, ak 95% konfyans, pou l pase.
✅ Teste tèt ou
Yon kandida rive nan maksimòm 150 kesyon. Kijan yo deside pase oswa echwe?A candidate reaches the maximum of 150 items. How is pass or fail decided?
- Si dènye kesyon an te reponn byenWhether the last question was answered correctly
- Estimasyon final kapasite a kont estanda pou pase aThe final ability estimate against the passing standard
- Si plis pase mwatye nan tout 150 kesyon yo te reponn byenWhether more than half of all 150 questions were answered correctly
- Egzamen an pase otomatikman nenpòt moun ki rive nan maksimòm 150 laThe exam automatically passes anyone who reaches the maximum of 150
Repons: B · Estimasyon final kapasite a kont estanda pou pase a
Nan longè maksimòm lan, odinatè a itilize estimasyon final kapasite a. Nan nivo estanda a oswa pi wo ou pase; pi ba pase li ou echwe. Dènye kesyon an pou kont li pa deside.
At maximum length, the computer uses the final ability estimate. At or above the standard passes; below it fails. The last item alone does not decide.
Poukisa ritm lan enpòtan menm si egzamen an pa sou vitès?Why does pacing matter even though the exam is not about speed?
- Ou pa ka pran poz si ou an reta nan ritm lanYou cannot take breaks if you are behind pace
- Repons ki pi rapid bay pwen bonis pou estanda pou pase aFaster answers earn bonus points toward the passing standard
- Odinatè a penalize nenpòt kesyon ki pran plis pase 90 segonn pou reponnThe computer penalizes any item that takes longer than 90 seconds to answer
- Fini tan anvan kesyon minimòm yo se yon echèkRunning out of time before the minimum items is a fail
Time only hurts you one way: if it expires before you have answered the minimum. Keep moving so that can never happen. The claim that the computer penalizes any item taking longer than 90 seconds is false, because no per-item time penalty exists.
